Hotel Alpenruh, Muerren
 The Hotel Alpenruh is a clean and cozy chalet-style 3-star hotel with 26 rooms with a phenomenal view to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountain range. The Hotel Alpenruh is located on the edge of the small mountain town of Muerren, right by the cable car station that provides access to the Schilthorn mountain. The Hotel Alpenruh features a restaurant for international cuisine and seasonal dishes, and a panoramic terrace overlooking the valley and the famous Jungfraumountain. The Restaurant "Taverne" across the street is known for “Raclette” and other cheese and local specialties. Guests of the Hotel Alpenruh also have the option of having breakfast at the revolving restaurant “Piz Gloria” at the top of the Schilthorn.  Other amenities include the Breakfast and Dining Room, a Lounge, and a small wellness area with Sauna and Solarium.Guests of the Hotel Alpenruh have free access to the “Alpine Sports Center” which includes an indoor swimming pool and a wellness area, as well as various facilities for sports such as ice-skating or tennis.
Description of Double Standard Room
All rooms at the Hotel Alpenruh have been recently renovated and are furnished with traditional wood furniture. These rooms are facing North with a view of the village (no balcony). The bathroom has a shower (some with bathtub), and a hairdryer is provided.All rooms feature cable TV, radio and CD-player, direct dial-out phone including analog Internet access, mini-bar and safe. All rooms are equipped with 2 Twin Beds (pushed together) and smoking / non-smoking rooms are available on request.

 Single Standard: smaller room for one person only; facing North (no balcony); bathroom with shower only
Single Superior: smaller room for one person only; facing South with balcony and great views of the Jungfrau Mountain range; bathroom with shower only
Double Superior: facing South with balcony and great views of the Jungfrau Mountain range; some bathrooms with bathtub, some with shower only
Triple Standard: larger room with 3rd permanent bed; facing North (no balcony); some bathrooms with bathtub, some with shower only

At the Hotel Alpenruh in Muerren, most of the rooms have great views of the famous mountains Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau and hotel guests have the option of having breakfast at the revolving restaurant on top of the Schilthorn. This hotel is ideally located next to station of the Schilthorn gondola. |

Directions on how to get there
By public transportation:
From the “Interlaken Ost” - railway station take the regional train to Lauterbrunnen; then you need to get on the bus to “Stechelberg” where you exit at the “Schilthorn – Cable Car Station”; the gondola takes you up to Muerren where you will find the Hotel Alpenruh right in front of the cable car station.
By car:
Exit the Highway in Interlaken direction “Wilderswil / Grindelwald / Lauterbrunnen” and follow the road to Lauterbrunnen; then continue to drive direction “Stechelberg” where you will see the Station of the Schilthorn Cable Car.Park your car in the parking lot and take the gondola up tp Muerren, where you will find the Hotel Alpenruh right in front of the cable car station. |
